Overview
We’re excited to bring back our 6-day Morocco tour for a second round in 2027. Over six days, you’ll experience the energy of Marrakech’s Medina, explore the Ourika Valley with its villages and waterfalls, and spend a full day and night in the desert. Expect quad biking across open landscapes, a stay in a luxury desert camp under the stars, and evenings filled with traditional Moroccan food, music, and dance. If you want to level it up, you can also add a sunrise hot air balloon ride. In between, you’ll stay in a handpicked riad, join a guided food tour, and unwind with a traditional hammam spa experience. This trip blends adventure, culture, and connection, all with the support of local guides, your Active Odyssey host, and a small group of like-minded women. A trip perfect for beginners, Leisurely adventures are easy going and although AO tours are active in nature, and most include some outdoor pursuits and exploring, the activities on this experience are optional, lower intensity and/or at a bit more of a leisurely pace, making them accessible to all fitness levels. Day 1 – Arrival in Marrakech & Medina Tour
Pick-up: A dedicated transfer will be waiting to take you to your accomodation. All the details will be provided to you upon confirmation of the tour | Drop-off: At your Marrakech Riad.

Warm welcome at the airport and private transfer to your Riad — your first glimpse of Morocco’s charm.
- Check in and refresh in the Riad’s tranquil courtyard before stepping into the lively city.
- Guided walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Marrakech Medina, a maze of narrow alleys, vibrant stalls, and hidden courtyards.
- Admire the elegant Koutoubia Mosque from the outside, with its minaret serving as a symbol of the city.

Evening: Unwind at your Riad
Day 2 – Day Trip to Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains
Pick-up: AM from your riad | Drop-off: Early evening in Marrakech

- Scenic drive into the High Atlas Foothills. Enjoy wide views of terraced fields and rugged peaks.
- Pass through Berber villages where mud-brick houses blend with the mountainside.
- Guided hike to the Ourika waterfalls and feel the cool spray and lush greenery along the trail.
- Cross wooden bridges and pass riverside cafés while you listen to the sound of flowing water nearby.
- Enjoy a home-cooked Moroccan lunch in a peaceful spot by the river, surrounded by nature.
Evening: Return to Marrakech for a relaxed night. You might enjoy a stroll through the softly lit streets.
Day 3 – Free Day in Marrakech & Evening Food Tour
Pick-up: Evening from your Riad | Drop-off: Evening at your Riad
Itinerary Highlights: A leisure day with evening guided experience
- Optional movement/ meditation with your host and a free morning and afternoon to set your own pace in Marrakech. Sleep in, linger over breakfast in your Riad’s courtyard, or explore hidden corners of the medina at your own pace.
- Take this time to relax — perhaps a rooftop tea, or a quiet stroll through shaded gardens like Jardin Majorelle (optional).
- As the sun begins to set, meet your guide for an evening food tour through Marrakech’s bustling streets.
- Taste your way through the city: steaming bowls of harira soup, buttery msemen pancakes hot off the griddle, smoky grilled meats, and delicate Moroccan pastries — each bite telling a story of tradition and spice.
Evening: Return to your riad, full of flavor and the vibrant energy of Marrakech by night.
Day 4 – Hot Air Balloon & Agafay Desert Adventure
Pick-up: Early morning from your riad | Evening: Overnight in Agafay Desert
Duration: Full-day & night experience

- Sunrise hot air balloon ride (optional add on) over the Marrakech plains and Atlas Mountains.
- A traditional Berber breakfast is served after landing.
- Head into the Agafay Desert for an unforgettable camel ride across the open landscape.
- Experience the thrill of a one-hour ATV quad bike adventure over the desert terrain.
- End the day with a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, with Berber music and dance.
Evening: Overnight stay in a luxury desert camp, surrounded by the peacefulness of the desert night.
Day 5 – Return to Marrakech & Wellness Day
Pick-up: Morning from Agafay Desert | Drop-off: Your Marrakech riad

- Gentle start to the day, with the option for a calming yoga session in a serene space.
- Treat yourself to a traditional Moroccan hammam and spa (optional extra) treatment for deep relaxation.
- Free time for last-minute shopping, quiet courtyard reading, or enjoying a stroll through the old town.
Evening: Enjoy a relaxing final night in Marrakech with a final group dinner at a chosen restaurant.
Day 6 – Departure– Transfer to Marrakech Airport
Pick-up: A dedicated transfer will be scheduled for drop off. Please await to book your flights until the tour and transfer time is confirmed, all the details will be provided to you in due course upon booking| Drop-off: Marrakech Menara Airport RAK

Where will we stay?
In Marrakech, we stay at Riad Sierra, right in the heart of the city. Fr the luxury desert camp, Inara Desert Camp, a luxury desert camp with comfy tents and a relaxed vibe.
How far is the accommodation from the airport?
Riad Sierra is about 15–20 minutes from Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) by car.
Can I book a private room?
Yes. Private rooms are available for an extra cost and are limited. Shared rooms are also an option and a great way to meet other women on the tour.
What does an unconfirmed trip mean?
Your tour is officially confirmed once we reach the minimum number of guests. We’ll email you all the final details. Please wait to book flights until you get this confirmation, in case transfer times or other details change.
What airport should I fly to?
Your designated airport is Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK). It’s the closest and most convenient for the group transfer.
What time do I need to arrive?
We include one group transfer on arrival. Please arrive before 2:30 PM on arrival day to join this transfer comfortably. When the tour is confirmed and you are free to book your flights we will confirm the transfer timings
What time is departure on the last day?
We include one group transfer on departure. Please book flights after 10:00 AM so you can take the scheduled transfer back to the airport without rushing.
How challenging are the hikes?
Hikes in the Atlas are easy to moderate, leisurely, and accessible for most fitness levels.
What should I pack?
Comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing for variable weather, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, daypack, reusable water bottle, toiletries, and a jacket for cooler desert evenings. Trekking poles are optional.
Are the hikes beginner-friendly?
Yes. Guides maintain a relaxed pace and plenty of breaks, so even beginners can enjoy all sections comfortably.
Will I need travel insurance?
Yes. Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, and activity-related risks is a requirement of the tour.
What if I need assistance during the hikes?
Guides adjust the pace as needed. Alternative transport is available if someone wants a break or chooses not to complete a section.
What’s included in the tour?
Accommodation, airport transfers, private transfers to and from activities, all programmed activities (except optional extras), breakfasts, and one dinner at Inara desert camp.
What’s not included?
Flights, travel insurance, meals not mentioned above, and the tourist tax (paid locally).
What kind of meals will be provided?
Breakfasts will be served at our selected riad and include breads, pastries, eggs, fruit, yogurt, and local specialties. It is not customized, so you can choose what suits you.
For the dinner at the Inara Desert Camp, please let us know any dietary requirements or allergies in advance so we can accommodate you.
How will we get around?
We use a luxury private transfer company for all airport and activity transfers, so everything runs smoothly and comfortably.
How many people are in each group?
Groups are small, maximum 14 participants, to keep things personal and flexible.
Are there optional activities?
Yes. Optional experiences, like a Hammam visit in Marrakech, and hot air balloon can be booked separately on-site. All core activities in the itinerary are included.
