Whats the purpose of an Active Odyssey retreat?
The purpose of an Active Odyssey retreat is to provide a rejuvinating and experience that will allow you to re-charge, disconnect from your daily routine and re-connect with yourself and other like minded people. Our aim is to get more people out into the great outdoors to explore and find new passions, gain courage and confidence to try new things whilst also exploring the benefits of holistic practices like Yoga, breathwork and meditation.
Each experience is designed around a specific activiy e.g. snow, surf, hiking etc with an element of holistic and mindfulness practices to offer a well rounded event that offers so mjuch more than just a retreat. Its a transformative experience.
Iโm worried about booking a solo trip, do people come alone?
All Active Odyssey experiences are designed with solo travellers in mind. The purpose is for you to connect with other like minded people and create new bonds and friendships.
Booking your first solo trip can always be daunting but all of our hosts are there to make you feel welcome and support you on your own personal journey as well as bringin the group together through activities and

Whatโs included in the trip?
Accommodation and activities are included in each experience if it is longer than one day but, please refer to each specific event separately for the specific inclusions as it may differ per event.
Is it suitable for all fitness level?
A big part of Active Odyssey is to make our experiences accessible for everyone and we will support anyone on their journey even prior to an event to get them to a position where it is possible however, some adventure activities may have specific fitness requirements and health and safety is our number one priority. If it is deemed that any person doesn't meet the health or fitness requirements to partake in a specific or activity it will be up to the companies discretion to make the final call on whether it is safe to do so. Please reach out to us with any concerns of questions about your participation.
Is finanical assistance available?
we understand that financial situations vary and we have done our best to create experiences to suit as many budgets as possible, being accessable to all is of upmost importance to us. Please refer to each experience for the payment terms and installement options or contact us to discuss your individual circumstances so we can explore how to support you.
What should I pack?
Each experiences has its own specific activies. Please refer to your desired retreat for the packing list or contact us if you have any questions about what you will need.
Can request a private room?
There are options available for shared rooms and single occupancy doubles and king suites. Please refer to each specific experience to see whats available.
What does an unconfirmed event mean?
For each experience a number of attendees is needed for the retreat to go ahead. Please donโt bool your flights until your booked retreat is confirmed.
What if I'm a beginner?
All of Active Odysseyโs experiences are tailored for all abilities including beginners. We also have programs available in a health and fitness app to support your journey on the run up to your booked retreat to get you physically and mentally prepared. As long as you are deemed healthy and you have no health restrictions that would stop you from partaking in a specific activity everyone is welcome. Please contact us if you have any reservations or questions about your ability to attend so we can find the right adventure for you.
Can I speak to someone to discuss which retreat would be most suitable for me?
Yes, one of our hosts will always be on hand to answer any questions, discuss your options or just for a general chat about your needs and desires for your trip. Please contact us at any time so we can arrange a suitable time to speak about your options.
I have dietary requirements, can you cater for me?
Yes, we cater to all dietary requirements and will request each attendees prior to your retreat including any information on dietary restrictions, allergies and preferences. Most of our retreats are catered or half board however, this varies depending on the length of the retreat and other factors. please refer to your preferred experience for more details on food & beverage.
Are there any specific guidelines or rules of the retreat?
We want our retreats to be well balanced and unrestrictive so you can enjoy your time as you wish but, we will provide a set of guidelines that we hope you will follow to ensure a harmonious and respectful environment for all participants. These guidelines will be shared with you upon arrival.
Are there additional costs?
The price of the retreat is inclusive of the total program, each expereince will have its own inclusions but, there will be no additional costs other than what is outlined in the details. please refer to your preffered experrience to see what is inlcluded and what is not.
Some experiences will have the opportunity to purchase extras. Any questions please contact the team who will assist.
Do I have to take part in all of the activities?
Nothing is mandatory in any of our experiences, everything is there for you to enjoy if you choose. We want you to feel totally comfortable with everything on offer and our hosts will make you feel at ease with what you choose. please contact us if you have any reservations or concerns about a specific activity.
Can I drink alcohol?
Only Active Odyssey hosts can bring alcohol on to a retreat premises or give permission for alcohol to be drank on the premises. Our retreats are not restrictive however we need to ensure a positive and harmonies experience for all our attendees so, it will be limited and on request.
How do I book?
You can book any of our experiences through the website. A deposit will be required to secure your booking and options of full payment, deposit or instalments are available should you wish to split the payment if availability and timescales permit. Please refer to your preferred retreat for details on availability and how to book or contact our hosts to chat about your options and let them answer any queries you may have about joining.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the retreat, please refer to the specific retreat details for the cancellation policy and any associated fees. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our team for clarification.
